Michael Malloy

Michael Malloy
SVP, Chief Financial Officer

With his experience in accounting and management, Michael brings both people skills and financial expertise to his role as Chief Financial Officer, where he plans, implements, and manages all financial-related activities. He is directly responsible for accounting, finance, strategic planning, and financial-report preparation, as well as summaries and forecasts for future business growth. A licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in New Jersey, Michael graduated from Rutgers University in 2003 with a B.S. in Accounting. He was awarded a Master of Accountancy and Professional Consultancy degree in 2004 by Villanova University.

Rik Tvedt

Rik Tvedt
SVP, Director of Operations

Known for his high energy, interpersonal skills, and creative approach to problem solving, Rik is a leader and motivator who has managed the overall operations of more than 20 bank branches. As our new Director of Operations, he oversees information systems and technology, facilities and security, and vendor and human-resources management. He launched his career in banking in 1983 after graduating from Seton Hall University with a B.A. in Philosophy. Active in several non-profit organizations in his community, Rik is treasurer and trustee of Glendale Cemetery, a former trustee and current member of St. Valentine's Athletic Club, and past chairman and trustee of Children's Aid and Family Services.

Scott McLaughlin

Scott McLaughlin
SVP, Senior Commercial Lender

With his communication prowess, commercial-loan knowledge, strong referral network, and impeccable loan-management skills—even in a tough economic environment—Scott has consistently been a top loan producer throughout his career. He landed his first banking job in New York City in 1982 after graduating cum laude from Vanderbilt University. In 1985, he earned an MBA in finance from Pace University. Since then, he has devoted himself to small- and mid-size community banks in New York and New Jersey, where he has honed his expertise in commercial products, including: commercial and construction loans, commercial real estate and development loans, consumer loans, commercial and industrial loans, SBA loans, residential mortgage loans, and loan workouts. As our Senior Commercial Lender, he's responsible for the growth and management of our bank's commercial loan portfolio, which entails: strengthening existing relationships, nurturing new relationships, and following sound credit principles to ensure the safety and soundness of the bank. When not in the office, Scott is active in assisting in the growth and ministry of his church, Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Jim Brown

Jim Brown
SVP, Residential Mortgage

With more than 30 years of banking and lending experience, Jim brings a wealth of local knowledge of the real estate community to Colonial American Bank.  As SVP of Residential Mortgage, his goal is to simplify the often confusing and frustrating mortgage process by providing transparency, flexibility, and sound advice to his customers. He has a reputation for being approachable and communicating well with his clients. He and his staff help people achieve their dream of home ownership - even in a tough economic environment. While customers find him easily accessible, likeable, and fair, he is also a sharp businessman who, prior to joining CAB, opened loan production offices for several banks, was head of sales for a large Savings institution managing retail and wholesale operations, and later partnered to form Select Mortgage Company where he managed and helped build a very productive mortgage banking company.  Jim is married with two children. He spends his free time with his granddaughter and is a volunteer at the Ronald McDonald house.

Andrew M. Glatz

Andrew M. Glatz
SVP, SBA Department Manager

A keen listener, creative thinker, and astute problem solver, Andrew comes to Colonial American Bank with 20 years of Small Business Association (SBA) lending and banking-industry experience under his belt. Believing that small businesses are the engines that drive the U.S. economy, he aims to help start-up and existing small-business owners in the community secure the funding they need to build their companies and pursue new opportunities—whether through loans associated with the SBA or other federal and state loan-guarantee programs. As ambitious as he is personable, Andrew has been recognized by the SBA as a “Breakthrough Lender of the Year.” He also serves on the advisory council for Monmouth University Center for Entrepreneurship, which promotes entrepreneurial thinking and assists area small businesses and students. When not working, he enjoys spending time with family, watching and coaching sports, and savoring a good cup of coffee.

Deby Findley

Deby Miller Findley
VP, SBA & Commericial Loan Officer

The consummate professional, Deby joins Colonial American Bank with 30-plus years of Small Business Association (“SBA”) lending and banking-industry experience. Her extensive knowledge of SBA loan regulations and loan structuring are helpful in accommodating both the borrower and the bank’s lending policy. One of the things Deby loves most about her job is the satisfaction of helping a new business become successful. She is thrilled to work with a bank that is known for its commitment to putting people and relationships first. Deby sits on the Board of Directors of the Better Business Bureau of New Jersey. Her love for animals has led her to rescue Beagles and train them before sending them to live with loving families. In her free time, Deby and her husband love to travel.

Sharon Franklin

Sharon Franklin
VP, Branch Manager (Shrewsbury, NJ)

Passionate about banking since her first job as a part-time teller in 1981, Sharon moved quickly through the ranks into management, garnering recognition along the way for her dedication and expertise. She won seven Top Performer awards and was credited with helping to double her bank's deposit base over a 10-year period. A self-described "people person," she thrives on customer interaction and has nurtured many meaningful relationships over the years. In fact, many of Sharon's clients followed her to Colonial American Bank when she came on board. As manager of the Shrewsbury branch she facilitates all branch sales, service, and business-development strategies, keeping the branch on target with its goals and expectations. In addition, she ensures that all compliance and audit procedures are followed. An active volunteer and fundraiser, Sharon was Vice President of the Epiphany House, honorary board member of New Hope of Marlboro, and volunteer for the Ronald McDonald House, Tinton Falls Cure, March of Dimes, and other charitable organizations.

Patricia Zilly

Patricia Zilly
VP, Branch Manager (Middletown, NJ)

A seasoned veteran of the banking industry, Pat began her career in 1980 and has since distinguished herself as a stellar branch manager. Efficient, knowledgeable, and personable, she makes customer service her focal point. Over the years, Pat and her team have built many long-term friendships with clients, knowing that relationships are a key component in meeting customers’ banking and financial needs. Throughout her career, she has been frequently recognized as a top performer and honored with numerous distinctions, including the Greatest Team Spirit award and the prestigious Chairman’s award. Pat’s passion for giving back is evident in her many community-service activities. She served as a board member for Tinton Falls C.U.R.E. and is a past member of the Red Bank Rotary Club and Northern Monmouth Chamber of Commerce. For the past 15 years, she has assisted with events and fundraisers for the Ronald McDonald House, March of Dimes, United Way, American Cancer Society, and Jason's Dreams for Kids.

Lauren Bell

Lauren Bell
VP, Controller

Lauren is as comfortable with numbers as she is with people. In her role as Controller, she oversees the accounting team and manages the day-to-day functions of the accounting and finance departments, which include month-end general ledger close, coordination of correspondent banks, daily treasury functions, general ledger account reconciliation, accounts payable, and investment and bond accounting, among many other things. She reports these activities to the Chief Financial Officer and senior management. Lauren received her B.S. degree in accounting from Monmouth University in 2002.
