June 15, 2012 – Colonial American Bank announces it has received an “A”, or “Excellent” rating for lending to small businesses from bankinggrades.com, a proprietary online tool that grades every bank on its commitment to small business lending. The “A” rating signifies that a bank invests 25% or more of its deposits in small business loans.  Colonial American Bank is ranked 491 out of 6,716 banks in America.

According the web site, Banking Grades is a proprietary online tool that grades every bank on its commitment to small business lending. Banking Grades is based on data gathered from quarterly FDIC call reports.  Every bank regulated by the FDIC is required to submit loan data on a quarterly basis.  A Banking Grade is determined by dividing; (1) the total dollar value of loans made by a bank under $1,000,000 by (2) the total amount of domestic deposits held by said bank. “Based on our experience of helping small businesses find financing, we believe that a one million dollar loan is a good barometer of small business lending,” explains Ami Kassar, CEO of MultiFunding, a small business financial advisory firm. May 11, 2012 – Colonial American Bank held the grand opening of its new Middletown branch office on Saturday, May 5, 2012, with Middletown Mayor Anthony P. Fiore cutting the ribbon to start the day long celebration.

Community members toured the bank which features a public WiFi area; cookie and coffee bar; customer friendly banquettes for all service needs; LCD information screens; a state of the art coin counter; and state of the art conference room with flat screen TV for presentation needs. Activities included face painting, balloon sculptures, refreshments and giveaways. Salvatore Sassano was announced as the winner of the iPad 3 giveaway.

February 21, 2012 - Horsham, PA – Colonial American Bank is pleased to announce that Lisa Borghese and Scott McLaughlin, both of Middletown, have joined the Bank’s loan department.  The Bank’s first Monmouth County office will be located on Route 35 in Middletown Plaza, Middletown, slated to open in March 2012.

Borghese, Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer, is responsible for oversight of the loan department including consumer and commercial loan growth.  Borghese brings 25 years of experience effectively working with individuals and businesses in Monmouth County by providing financing and banking services to consumer and commercial customers.

McLaughlin, Senior Vice President and Senior Commercial Lender, is responsible for the growth and management of the commercial loan portfolio of the Bank. He brings nearly 30 years of professional experience in the areas of business development, credit knowledge and management.
